Crossbeta Biosciences aims at developing therapeutic applications of its crossbeta technology in the field of protein misfolding diseases - such as Alzheimer’s disease - and as tool for the immunopotentiation of vaccines.

This technology is based on crossbeta structures in misfolded proteins and the crossbeta pathway which is a system in the body that recognizes and eliminates these obsolete proteins. This crossbeta pathway provides various opportunities for disease modifying treatments of diseases associated with misfolded proteins. Crossbeta structures also induce an immunogenic response and this provides opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of vaccines.’
