Crossbeta Biosciences Proprietary Technology
Over the past years Crossbeta Biosciences has build a portfolio of patents and patent applications that allows protection of its discoveries and inventions in several areas of applications.
Our main applications include:
- Crossbeta Pathway (WO04004698) – granted
This patent, named the ‘Crossbeta Pathway’ application, was filed in July 2002, and discloses that the crossbeta structure is binding site for receptors and a signal triggering a clearance pathway for obsolete proteins, called the Crossbeta Pathway. Evidence is provided for the existence of crossbeta structures misfolded proteins and several crossbeta structure binding proteins, including receptors, such as RAGE, are also disclosed. It claims the use of crossbeta binding proteins for the detection and treatment of misfolded protein diseases.
- Binding compounds (WO07008072) – granted
Filed in July 2005, this patent claims the selection of small compounds modulating binding of proteins to misfolded proteins for use for the treatment of misfolded protein diseases.
